There was an additional element that didn’t make the series, but in the books the witch also predicted that Cersei would die – young – at the hands of her little brother: "And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you." My money’s on the Lannister queen lasting right until the final episode, before a highly dramatic but distinctly bloodless, ceremonious murder. For seven series, much of the action has pivoted around Cersei, so it feels highly unlikely that she’d be killed off too early on in these cumulative episodes.
